Don't forget this weekend is the International Lighthouse Weekend. (15/16th August 2015)
Once again we have arranged to use our second home, the Green Point Lighthouse, and this will be our 16th year at this venue.
Interested Amateurs who wish to visit during the day are most welcome and encouraged to pop in and see how we are progressing with contacts and socialize with us.
Even if you are not taking part in the Lighthouse weekend, it would be appreciated if club members could come and assist with the set up at Green Point on Saturday morning 15 August at 10h00 and for take down on Sunday at 11h00. (Committee members will meet at the clubhouse at 08h30 on Saturday morning to load antennas and equipment).
There will be the usual 'bring and braai' on the Saturday evening (weather permitting), which is always a very social occasion. This will take place from sunset until we have to lock the doors at 23h00. Please bring your own braai meat and liquid refreshments and the club will provide the fire.
Transnet requires us to register the operators staying overnight, so if you intend to stay over and operate overnight please contact our chairman Rob / ZS1SA preferably by email on the club’s email address or via his cell phone.
