The CTARC broadcasts a bulletin from Cape Town every Sunday morning, at 08h30 B:
It is transmitted on the 145.750 MHz [Duplex, with input on 145.150 MHz] FM mode [25 kHz / "wide" deviation] via the Tygerberg Repeater by the bulletin reader. No CTCSS repeater tone is required to access this repeater.
Relays are made by Shaun ZS1GAF on 145.300 MHz [Simplex] in USB mode, and by Andre ZS1F on 3.700 MHz in LSB mode.
We also send the bulletin out via Echolink on ZS1DCC/R, courtesy of Alister ZS1OK.
Format:
The transmission, conducted by the Bulletin Reader for that week, consists of the ZS6SRL Headquarters Bulletin, followed by the CTARC Club Bulletin, with reports of Rally News from Davey ZR1FR and the Antique Wireless Association from John ZS1WJ. Thereafter an on-air Swop Shop is conducted, followed by call-ins from all the listeners. We welcome all listening radio amateurs to give their callsigns at this stage. Call-ins occur on their respective frequencies. Echolink listeners' call-ins are monitored on 145.750 MHz.The bulletins are coordinated by Paul ZS1S.
