CTARC New Club Logo - 20 Jan '16

Following discussions among the CTARC committee, it was decided to re-work the existing club logotype. Nick / ZS1ZD took on the job. The changes made are quite subtle - we deliberately didn't want to lose the historic character of the old logo which our club has used (it is believed) with minor changes since the 1940's. However, certain modifications needed to be done:
  • The diamond badge shape is now symmetrical;
  • The schematic Antenna at the top and Capacitor and Earth at the bottom have been redrawn;
  • The "bokkie" and Africa map have been rationalised in terms of positive & negative space;
  • Certain spacings and positions have been adjusted to make reproduction of the logo easier (for example, as an embroidered version on caps and T-shirts);
  • Finally, a colour version has been developed, based on the colours of the SARL enamel badge.
We will apply the new logo to the various CTARC documents and websites as time permits.
