CTARC Forthcoming March Meeting - Mar '14
The next monthly meeting of the Cape Town Amateur Radio Centre (after the Ham Fleamarket / Car Boot Sale on Saturday 1 March) will be held at 13h00 on Saturday 29 March 2014. The venue, as usual, will be the CTARC Clubhouse in Rondebosch.
(NOTE - this is a change from the previously announced meeting which was going to be on 22 March 2014.)
Further details about this meeting will announced on this website and in the weekly 08h30 Sunday morning CTARC bulletins broadcast on the 145.750 MHz repeater.
Our recent Saturday afternoon socials, held usually around a braai outside the clubhouse while the summer weather is good, have been great fun. They're a good opportunity to discuss all sorts of things with fellow radio amateurs. Visitors to our Club, prospective new members and our existing members are all most welcome.
We look forward to seeing you there!

CTARC Forthcoming Flea Market / Boot Sale - Mar '14
The CTARC Bumper Flea Market / Boot Sale of Amateur Radio gear, junk, miscellaneous items, components etc. will take place on Saturday, 1st March 2014. at 12h00.
The venue is at the Cape Town Amateur Radio Centre's clubhouse at Chess Road, Rondebosch.
Attendance at this event is free to all radio amateurs (not only members of the CTARC), but exhibitors are requested to pay a fee of R10-00 per exhibitor to help cover expenses.
Visitors are requested to park in the tarred car park area near the clubhouse, as opposed to on the grass lawn directly outside the clubhouse (to make space for the people actually selling items, who will park on that lawn).
Exhibitors are advised to bring your own trestle tables because only a very limited supply of these will be available. Alternatively you can flog your goods from the boot of your vehicle, in the time-honoured manner.
There will also be an exhibition of radio equipment by the local chapter of the Antique Wireless Asociation at this event.
For further enquiries, please contact the Secretary of the CTARC [here}.

CTARC No Meeting on Saturday 22 February - Feb '14
Your kind attention is drawn to the fact that there will be NO MEETING of the Cape Town Amateur Radio Centre on Saturday 22 February 2014.
This date was announced in error (on this blog and on Sunday's CTARC Bulletin on 16 February). We apologise for the resulting confusion.
The reason for the postponement of this Saturday meeting is because we will hold the CTARC Bumper Fleamarket / Car Boot Sale on the following Saturday, 1 March 2014. That event is definitely scheduled to take place!
Hoping to see you there!
